My Iman Montessori is an independent, non-profit, Islamic school overseen by a Parent Board. Encorporated in 2009, MIM was founded locally by a group of parents interested in providing their children with a quality educational program, fused with an Islamically rich environment. We currently enroll children between the ages of 3 and 8 years.
My Iman Montessori strives to provide the highest quality education in the area. We offer a safe, nurturing, and creative environment where children can be actively engaged and work independently with hands on materials that stimulate all five senses. The materials in the classroom communicate complex concepts in a concrete way, and are organized into five curriculum areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math and Culture. The teacher acts as a guide for the children to develop the skills and abilities they will need to prepare them for their academic future and beyond. We believe that children develop a sense of joy when they are able to do things for themselves, thus they are encouraged to do so.
Our goal is to provide an Islamically-rich atmosphere, where children are actively engaged in their work, and where the staff acts as a guide to educate the whole child. We aim to provide an Islamic Montessori learning environment with an outstanding curriculum and underlying philosophy that respects each child's individualized pattern of growth. Children actively pursue interests and answers at their own pace, developing independent thinking and self-teaching skills that will last a lifetime.
