Parent Teacher Conferences:

APRIL 28th - 30th

Current parents should watch for details on the upcoming Spring Parent/Teacher Conferences. Conferences will be held beginning on Monday, April 28th and will continue through Wednesday, April 30th. Please note that Wednesday, April 30th is also an early dismissal. MIM teachers and staff highly recommend parents to honor their scheduled conference times and to avoid rescheduling. We do understand, however, that scheduling conflicts are inevitable at times. In the event that you find you are unable to conference at the time scheduled for you, please contact the office or your child's teacher at the earliest possible time in order to reschedule. As we approach conferences, schedules will be posted and emailed, at least two weeks ahead of time to allow planning. Stay tuned for more information.

Weather-related reminder:

As the seasons change, please remember to send your child to school with appropriate outdoor clothing. As April can often bring plenty of rain and still be a bit chilly, we recommend the following items for students to have at school, either in their cubbies or backpacks:
-Raincoat/spring jacket
-Rainboots/water resistant shoes
-Extra pair of socks and pants
-Hat and light gloves


Returning Students -- Reminder for Commitment Letter for the 2014-2015 School Year

Open enrollment for the 2014-2015 school year is in full swing. We are currently taking applications for new students on a first-come, first-serve, rolling admission basis.  This is an exciting time for everyone as we get to meet new people, make new friends, and welcome them into our school community.

In order to finalize our enrollment process, we are asking all current families who intend to return next year to please fill out and return their Letter of Commitment (Letter of Commitment 2014-2015) to the office as soon as possible.  Once we receive your Letter of Commitment, this will hold your child’s place in his/her classroom for next school year. We can not guarantee your child’s space without the letter of commitment. Classroom openings will be filled with new students in the 2014-2015 academic year.

If your child has siblings that you plan to enroll at MIM for next year, please make sure to submit the Enrollment Packet, if you have not done so already -- this will be considered your intent to enroll and will hold a place for your child. If you have any questions about siblings and our enrollment process, please ask our office staff.

Parents are always welcome to volunteer for various tasks, including cutting, pasting, laminating, kitchen duties, preparing morning snack, and assisting to supervise lunch and recess. Please remember that all MIM families are responsible for a minimum of 10 volunteer hours per school year. This is a great way to fulfill hours, so contact the office by email or phone to schedule a volunteer day!
